Strawberry is a waterfront community in Mill Valley, located on a peninsula along Richardson Bay, home of the Audubon Society. Its position offers open water views, a slightly sunnier microclimate, and convenient access to San Francisco, making it one of the more distinct neighborhoods within Marin County.

The housing mix includes a range of architectural styles, from mid-century and ranch-style homes to more contemporary properties and waterfront residences. Some homes are positioned to capture views of the Bay, Mount Tamalpais, and the San Francisco skyline, while others are located directly along the waterfront.

Strawberry Village serves as the primary commercial center for the neighborhood, providing access to grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and everyday services. This central hub supports daily convenience without the need to travel into downtown Mill Valley.

The Strawberry Recreation District offers swimming, tennis, fitness facilities, and organized programs throughout the year, contributing to the neighborhood’s established community infrastructure.

Outdoor access is a key feature of the area. Richardson Bay provides opportunities for paddleboarding, kayaking, and waterfront walking, while nearby trails and open space offer additional options for recreation.

Strawberry is served by the Mill Valley School District and Tamalpais Union High School District, including Strawberry Point Elementary School.

School references are provided for general context only; attendance boundaries vary, and school assignment is determined by the district.

What Emily loves about Strawberry:
The combination of open water views, sunlight, and easy access to San Francisco — it’s one of the few areas in Mill Valley where you can enjoy a true waterfront setting while staying close to everyday conveniences. In the morning, I love to stop by Peets coffee to pick up a latte and then head over to Jane's bakery for a fresh baked good.
